Death Note’s Shinigami and JRockers
Chapter Three: the First Murder Case


Alex woke up in his room, tucked into his bed; he didn’t really remember what happened yesterday. He looked around wearily then sat up a bit, rubbing his face. He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, washing his face. He looked at himself in the mirror; he had black bags under his eyes, which bothered him.
Shinobi knocked on the bathroom door “Yeah?” Alex said looking at the door. “Alex…” her voice sounded as if she was crying. “Shinobi, what’s wrong?” He opened the door and looked at her “Are you ok?” She hugged him around the waist and buried her face in his upper abdomen. “I feel better today.” He patted her head and hugged her. “I’m ok now Shinobi.” He comforted his sister, who was quite emotional. “Hay, don’t cry, silly…” he tried to cheer her up a bit. She sniffed a little and rubbed her eyes. “How about you and me go out for ice cream today?” Alex suggested. Shinobi smiled and nodded “Okay…” “See? Knew I could make you happy.” He smiled and laughed softly.
She rubbed her face and smiled at him
“Let’s go downstairs; mom and dad are really worried about you.” He nodded to his sister “Right after you Shinobi.” He said and followed his sister downstairs. “Alex!” his mother yelled rushing over to him and hugged him tightly “mom…” he hugged his mother. “Are you alright? You blacked out yesterday.” “I did?” He looked up at his mom “I really don’t remember anything from yesterday night…” His father went over to him and looked at him “You do seam better Alex.” “That’s cause I am better” He smiled and nodded. “Well how about some food?” His mother asked and looked at Alex “I’d love some.” He nodded and sat behind the table.
“What would you like?” His mother asked. “Anything really.” He smiled. “Alright, I’ll see what’s left.” His mother walked into the kitchen and began preparing something for him.
“So dad you never told me about the case you’ve been investigating.” “Well, we are now investigating a murder case that took place a few weeks ago, it was around the western shopping center, and five people were murdered.” His father nodded. Alex nodded and looked at the table cloth. “So what else is with that guy?” “Well, he’s been harassing a few of our police officers, so we really want to find this guy soon.” “Yeah, I hope you guys do find him soon.” Alex nodded to his dad. “But, what the heck happened to me yesterday?” He asked his father looking up at him. “Exhaustion, you had a very high fever and you blacked out when you went after Shinobi.” “Oh…okay.” He leaned back in his chair and tapped his fingers on the table.
“Will you be able to go to school tomorrow?” “I guess.” Alex nodded “Do you know the guy’s name by any chance?” “Yes, actually, Chou Baka” “Okay” Alex nodded. And he looked into the kitchen at his mom. “Food will be ready in a few seconds Alex, bear with me.” “Alright mom.” Alex yelled to the kitchen and rubbed his hand a little.
Shinobi smiled at Alex and sat behind the table. “Alex is taking me out for Ice-cream today.” “Is he now?” “Yes I guess I am dad.” Alex laughed. “We’re gonna walk around Shibuya and look at clothes and people.” Shinobi nodded to Alex. “Alright, alright, if you really want Shinobi.” He laughed.
They all ate that night. It was about 6:30 when Alex and Shinobi were done. “We getter go now Alex, so get dressed in something warm.” Shinobi said a bit worriedly. “Kay.” Alex replied and ran up the stairs. He then thought about the killer for a moment then went to his newly purchased Death Note. He stroke the cover a bit and opened it. He then took a pen and wrote the name in, he then closed the Death Note and put it back. He didn’t really think it’ll do anything. He then got dressed and walked back downstairs. “I’m back! Let’s go Shinobi.” He smiled at his sister and went out of the door with her.
